In 1998, a fire safety house was purchased with the assistance of grant money.  This house allows firefighters to teach children and adults important fire safety topics.  The house has a fully functional kitchen, living room, and bedroom.   The house features a working 911 phone system, heated door, escape ladder, and a smoke machine.  Through a closed circuit camera system located through out the house, an operator can monitor each area and operate the educational tool for that area.
