Luis Ferman's Visit Sadly Comes to AN End 6-9-2006 |

| Luis Ferman's visit to
the SFD comes to an end with his graduation from the SFD Rookie school and
receiving his firefighter badge and brass as well as his firefighting
helmet. His was honored and recognized at the first annual SFD special
awards and promotion and rookie bad pinning ceremony at RCCC. The Salisbury
Fire Department learned of the sub-standard safety conditions that
firefighters had to endure such as the lack of enough proper turn-out gear
for the Guatemala City firefighters. Luis was presented with a gift which
was a set of turn-out gear for his usage at home in Guatemala City,
Guatemala. He was very moved by the gift.
