 Give
the Gift of a Bicycle this Holiday Season!
Through partnerships with the Forsyth Correctional Center and the
Rowan County Department of Social Services, the Salisbury Parks and
Recreation Department is continuing to facilitate,
"Operation Turn the Wheel."
Operation Turn the Wheel
collects gently used bicycles. Prisoners at the Forsyth Correctional
Center restore the collected bicycles to a nearly new condition and
then distribute the finished products to foster children in Rowan
County through the Rowan County Department of Social
Services. Details regarding the Operation Turn the Wheel
campaign are listed below.
